ENGYS is pleased to announce Francisco (Patxi) Lara, Numerical Simulation CoE Director at RDT, as a keynote speaker at the ENGYS User Group Meeting 2026. Hosted in partnership with RDT on 21–23 October 2026 in Madrid, Spain, the event will bring together the global HELYX and ELEMENTS community for three days of technical presentations, training sessions and networking.
Patxi has spent more than 25 years delivering advanced numerical simulation solutions across a wide range of demanding engineering projects in Spain and abroad. As Numerical Simulation CoE Director at RDT, he leads activities in CFD, FEM, energy and building simulation, and multiphysics, supporting projects ranging from large-scale industrial facilities and mission-critical data centres to landmark buildings. As part of RDT’s role as an official HELYX distributor and technical partner of ENGYS in Spain and Portugal, Patxi also helps organisations develop stronger CFD capabilities through technical support, training and workflow development.
During his keynote, Patxi will share practical insights gained from applying HELYX to complex engineering design challenges. Drawing on RDT’s experience across many industrial sectors, he will discuss the methodologies, workflows and best practices that help engineers tackle demanding CFD applications more efficiently, while highlighting the value of close collaboration between technology providers, engineering consultants and end users.
As co-host of the ENGYS UGM 2026, RDT brings extensive experience supporting engineering organisations throughout Spain and beyond. Patxi’s keynote will offer attendees the opportunity to learn directly from the practical knowledge and technical expertise developed through years of real-world CFD projects.
