Organised in partnership with RDT, the event brought together engineers and industry partners from across the global CFD community to exchange technical knowledge, share engineering applications and explore the latest developments in open-source computational fluid dynamics.

The ENGYS UGM 2026 opened with a day dedicated to HELYX and ELEMENTS training, followed by two days of technical presentations and talks from several customers and partners, including: CycloTech, Diehl Defence, Siemens Gamesa, Foster + Partners, Ramboll, SCHOTTEL, Grundfos, Piaggio, NVIDIA, AMD, Holinger AG, RBF Morph and SMS group.

This year’s keynote was delivered by Francisco “Patxi” Lara, Numerical Simulation CoE Director at RDT. In addition to this, Eugene de Villiers presented the Technology Roadmap for 2026–27, outlining the latest developments from ENGYS on GPU computing, AI-enabled workflows and performance-driven CFD at scale.
