ENGYS was the proud platinum sponsor of the 8th International OPENFOAM® Workshop held in the island Jeju, South Korea, between June 11th and 14th (openfoamworkshop2013.org). This is the first time the Workshop visits the far-east, attracting more than 160 people from both industry and academia in South Korea, Japan, China and other countries in the region.
In the four days of the Workshop we delivered training sessions on meshing methods and the use of HELYX-OS, our Open Source GUI designed to work with standard OPENFOAM®. In addition to this, ENGYS presented various papers in the subjects of Adjoint CFD optimisation, moving grids technology, coupled solver technology and wind tunnel validation for DES of external vehicle aerodynamics. We also showcased our main Open Source based CFD product HELYX®, including our latest GUI framework, which had a very good reception within the community.
ENGYS is already looking forward to attending the 2014 Workshop in Zagreb, Croatia.
