2009

Founding

ENGYS is founded in the UK with the mission of creating a high-performance, open-source CFD software for industry.

2010

Start of Operations

Operations begin in the UK with engineering consultancy and CFD development services. Main focus is on improving the existing OpenFOAM libraries and other open-source technologies.

The first version of ENGYS’s website goes live.

2011

Expansion to Europe

New offices are open in Germany and Italy.

2012

HELYX first release

The first version of the company’s flagship open-source CFD software goes to market.

2012

Expansion to USA and Australia

New offices are open in the USA and Australia.

2012

Partnership with Auto Research Center (USA)

ENGYS enters a joint venture with Auto Research Center (ARC) to jointly develop the new CFD software ELEMENTS for automotive design and vehicle aerodynamics.

2013

HELYX version 2 release

Second major version of HELYX released.

2013

ELEMENTS first release and new distributors in Asia

First version of ELEMENTS is introduced to offer the automotive industry for the first time an enterprise-class CFD solution built on open-source technologies.

2013

New distributors in Asia

New local distributors in Japan and South Korea to commercialise and support HELYX and ELEMENTS.

2014

First release of HELYX-Adjoint, HELYX-Coupled and HELYX-Hydro Add-Ons

First version of the HELYX add-ons released to market.

2014

HELYX-OS first release

An open-source GUI compatible with OpenFOAM is released under the GNU General Public License.

2015

First release of HELYX-Marine Add-On

First version of the HELYX-Marine add-on released to market.

Brand Evolution
