Urban Physics Modelling Using Cloud-Based CFD Simulation
Learn how SoftSim’s quest for enhanced CFD capabilities transformed architectural planning with ENGYS’ cloud-based CFD and HPC technology.
Urban Physics Modelling (UPM) stands at the forefront of modern urban planning, architecture, and engineering, enabling us to comprehend the complex interplay between built environments and the surrounding microclimates. As cities grow and evolve, understanding how flow structures impact pedestrian comfort, wind loading on structures, pollution dispersion, and wind-driven rain patterns becomes crucial for sustainable and resilient urban development.
In this dynamic landscape, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) emerges as a transformative technology, offering a virtual laboratory to simulate and analyze fluid flows in urban spaces. By harnessing the power of CFD, professionals can optimize architectural designs, forecast environmental impacts, and ensure safe and comfortable urban experiences for citizens.
In this webinar, we unravel the revolutionary potential of open-source CFD in Urban Physics Modelling, exploring SoftSim’s success story in partnership with ENGYS and their transformative journey towards more sophisticated and reliable solutions in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry.
