What is the difference between HELYX® and HELYX-OS?
- HELYX® is a fully supported enterprise-class CFD software solution developed by ENGYS based on the OpenFOAM® library. HELYX® features an open-source simulation engine (HELYX-Core) with a significant number of improvements over standard OpenFOAM® and is delivered with HELYX-GUI, a native graphical user interface for ease of use.
- HELYX-OS consists only of a dedicated open-source Graphical User Interface with limited functions designed to work with the standard OpenFOAM® library.
How do I get professional support to use HELYX® or OpenFOAM®?

Is there a demo version of the HELYX-GUI?
Yes, a demo of HELYX-GUI can be made available upon request. This contains all features present in the formal licensed version. The only restriction is that you cannot perform an actual mesh or simulation. However, the demo version is provided with several pre-calculated example model files to enable the end-user to evaluate all the features available in HELYX-GUI.
Can I keep using my existing cases of HELYX-OS with HELYX®?
Yes, HELYX® comes with a native GUI such that you will be able to read-in and run most cases created in HELYX-OS or by hand with standard OpenFOAM®.
