ENGYS participates at the 2015 JSAE Annual Spring Congress and Exposition in Yokohama

The 2015 JSAE Annual Spring Congress and Exposition organised by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan was held between May 20th and 22nd at the Pacifico Yokohama Conference Center in Pacifico Yokohama, Japan. ENGYS, a global provider of open-source based CAE solutions, attended the event for a second year in a row to participate as both exhibitors in the Automotive Engineering Exposition and speakers in the Technical Paper Presentation.

The Technical Paper Presentation brings in more than 4,000 engineers specialised in automotive and related technologies every year, with some 400 papers delivered as lectures. The Automotive Engineering Exposition is run in parallel as a “technology-centered” exhibition with as many as 400 Japanese and worldwide companies showcasing their latest competing technologies. Each year, around 70,000 people visit and invigorate the exposition.

ENGYS delivered a joint paper with Volkswagen and National Technical University of Athens on continuous Adjoint Optimization for Vehicle External Aerodynamics. The presentation attracted more than 100 engineers in the morning of May 20th and had an excellent reception amongst the many attendees.

The Automotive Engineering Exposition was also a great success thanks to the active participation of CAE-Solutions and VINAS as exhibitors. Both CAE-Solutions and VINAS are active resellers of ENGYS' products in Japan, including the open-source based CFD products HELYX and ELEMENTS.

The JSAE Congress and Exposition was concluded on May 22nd with the private seminar HELYX: Professional Open-source CFD for Industrial Applications and HPC at the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel, Yokohama, Japan. This event was organised by CAE-Solutions with the participation of ENGYS, VINAS and the presence of almost 30 representatives from Japanese companies and academia.
